There are certain high risk groups for suicide – among them are veterans and military service members. The following is link to a 5-Part Blog written by John Bateson on ending military suicides.

John Bateson was executive director of a nationally-certified suicide prevention center in the San Francisco Bay Area for 16 years. He served on the steering committee of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, and was part of a blue-ribbon committee that created the California Strategic Plan on Suicide Prevention. His latest book is The Last and Greatest Battle: Finding the Will, Commitment, and Strategy to End Military Suicides.
